After a two stage bid process, Aros were selected as the company’s preferred designers for their office relocation. The design proposals needed to excite this unique client as well as clearly understand both the Lonely Planet brief and their brand ambitions.

The new workplace features a hardworking, flexible central hub or meeting space, which is designed to encourage collaboration, innovation and interaction. Further facilities include a library, meeting rooms, collaboration spaces and softer, more informal breakout spaces.

The scheme includes feature lighting, banquette seating and a heavy joinery orientated integrated furniture piece in the central space. Similarly, meeting rooms were creatively themed to suit individual continents, with different finishes, colours and a range of textures.

A bold and vibrant colour palette is complemented by ample natural lighting, drawn in through floor to ceiling windows which surround the office space. The result is a fun, lively, and compelling design, which reflects both Lonely Planet’s personality, broad travel expertise and the unique culture of their business.

Myself and the office move team at Lonely Planet worked closely with the team at Aros for the design of our new office space. Mark and the team were all extremely helpful and communicative at every stage of the process. We loved the colourful and inclusive design they came up with which is totally in line with our brand. I've been in touch several times since with follow up questions and they're always more than happy to help.
